Our Philosophy
Our moto is "Great Stuff for Really Good Dogs!" We truly believe in carrying only the finest products available in the pet industry. We source as many things from within the U.S. as possible and we get to know every vendor or vendor representative personally.
Awards
Every year we win awards from local publications. We have multiple Readers' Choice awards. We were recently presented the award of "Retailer of the Year," by our local Retail Alliance, and nationally by Pet Product News. We are also very excited to be named "America's Coolest" pet store by Pets+ magazine, another national magazine!
Our Bakery
One of the things that sets us apart from other pet retail stores is our fresh baked dog biscuits. We have more than fifty copywritten recipes and we help you source equipment and train you how to make everything. This is our second highest source of revenue in the stores! When you open your Gangsta Dog store, you will have a bakery with fresh baked cookies you make, just like those in all our stores!
Private Branding
Gangsta Dog is not just a business, but a nationally recognized brand! We have our own line of private branded dog foods (our number one selling item), supplements, CBD oil, shampoos, salmon oil, etc. This sets us apart from the competition and helps you be more profitable on those lines.
Our Vendors
We have more than sixty vendors we deal with directly and four national distributors. We are also members of the Pets+ Brain Squad so we get to see new products before they go to market. Every product is tested by our dog staff before it's allowed in the stores, and our corporate stores test the product for salability before our franchises get it added to their product catalog. We want to take the product risk first!
Training
We don't train dogs, but we do train you and your staff! We want you to be as successful as we are, and we will always be just a phone call away if you need support. You will be heavily involved in your day to day operations. Franchise owners, or their representative are required to attend one of two national trade shows per year so we can all, as a team, work on constantly improving the Gangsta Dog product catalog.
Your Store
When you open a Gangsta Dog store you will be provided with all the resources to open a complete and competitive business. We provide the training, help with site selection, give guidance on layout, signage, interior design, and provide you with a complete vendor manual so you have all the contacts you need to stock your store. We also get you set up with training on all your systems. You don't just buy a franchise...you rapidly move into owning a fully stocked store!

Gangsta Dog teamwork is key. We teach you how to select the right people, project a positive image in your community, and to trust your team to provide knowledge and customer service that is above and beyond anything a customer can experience at any other store.

At Gangsta Dog it's not just about the business. We truly believe in what we do. We began offering franchises because customers across the country reached out, requesting a way to own a business they could be as excited about as we are. Our goals are to always know more, provide better customer service, and make dogs happier than any other place they could go.
